We’re frequently making updates and upgrades to our services to improve your experience with our platform and our substitute teachers.

We wanted to highlight a few features that you might find helpful — then follow this link to access your account and issue a request today!

Work With Your Favorite Swing Substitute Teachers

School admins are highly encouraged to submit feedback about Swing substitute teachers at the conclusion of each assignment. Not only does this information helps us coach our substitute teachers, but it allows us to create a curated list of your favorite Swing subs so you can easily request them again and again.

Get more information on submitting feedback in this article from our help center.

Here’s an example of helpful feedback we received earlier this week from one of our Southern California school partners. (Note: The below is just one example of how a school admin submitted feedback. You aren’t limited to any pre-set template for your written comments, so feel free to submit feedback in whatever format you prefer.)

  • Followed lesson plans: Excellent
  • Left room/desk in order: Adequate
  • Left notes for teacher on how day went: Excellent
  • Student reaction towards sub: Adequate
  • Worked professionally/effectively: Excellent

The substitute teacher was friendly and followed sub notes pretty closely. The regular teacher was able to return the next day and pick up right where sub left off on the lesson without much review.

Go Beyond Day-to-Day Requests

Swing doesn’t just cover short-term requests. We’d also gladly work with you to fill long-term absences, such as those that arise in cases of parental leave, medical leaves, and teacher vacancies.

And while many of our substitute teachers are certificated/credentialed, we also cover classified/non-credentialed positions for paraprofessionals, teacher’s aides, after-school activities, and more.

Set Different Pay Rates For Different Jobs

Swing partners can set different pay rates for different jobs. For example, some schools prefer to offer one rate for a short-term job, another for a long-term assignment, and a third for a non-credentialed/classified role.
