Requirements to Join

To get started with Swing in New Jersey, you must meet one of the following criteria:

• Option 1: Degree Path

  • You have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

  • Need a permit? We will help you navigate the process and offset costs via Permit Assist.

• Option 2: Existing Credential Path

  • You already hold a valid NJ 60-credit or 30-credit Instructional Substitute Credential.

Additional Requirements:

• Residency: Must reside in New Jersey or Pennsylvania.

• Compliance: Ability to pass a background check, provide a valid TB test, and complete a work history form.
