Requirements to Join

To get started with Swing in California, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree Path

    • You have a Bachelor’s degree.

    • You already have a valid CA Teaching Credential or Emergency 30-Day Permit (OR you are willing to get one with our help via Permit Assist).

  • Option 2: Prospective Teacher Path

    • You have completed 90+ college credits.

    • You already hold a valid CL-505d Emergency Permit for Prospective Teachers.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background check and provide a valid TB test.
