Yes. Going forward, all substitute assignments at Lynwood Unified are managed through Swing Education. To keep working in our schools, complete Swing’s quick online application to get set up.
I already substitute for Lynwood — what do I need to do?
As a current Lynwood substitute, your transition is a top priority. Swing will email you with simple steps to get set up so there’s no gap in your ability to work. Keep an eye on your inbox (and your spam/promotions folder, since it’s from a new sender).
Should I onboard with Swing if I'm not a credentialed teacher?
How do I receive teaching assignments?
Assignments are posted directly in the Swing app. You can browse and accept jobs based on your preferences, including grade level, school type, assignment length, and commute distance. You choose which jobs you want to take.
Can Swing substitute teachers work at other districts besides Lynwood USD?
Yes. Swing Education substitutes get priority access to Lynwood Unified School District assignments, plus the option to pick up substitute teaching jobs at other nearby California districts once cleared.
How and when do I get paid?
Swing pays weekly via direct deposit.
